Two-Day National Seminar on 150 Years of Celebrating The Mahatma
20 & 21 January, 2020
Our nation has witnessed 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi affectionately called
Bapu and Ba. They were instrumental in establishing a New Independent India. Though 150 years have
elapsed since the birth of these two great personalities their legacy still continues. Their lives
have left indelible footprints on the destiny of our country and their ideals continue to inspire millions in India and abroad.
In this new millennium where nations are torn apart with strife and societies are ridden with violence,
Gandhian principles like Satya, Ahimsa, Sarvodaya among others can help in creating a peaceful cohesive world order...
This Two-Day National Seminar aims at bringing together Gandhians, intellectuals, the youth and the
society at large by providing a platform for fruitful discussion and deliberation. The ideas generated at
this forum will provide vital inputs to policy makers in introducing educational, economic and social reforms in India based on Gandhian philosophy.
