Short Term Course /Winter Camp on Gandhian Thought for University Students

Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan is happy to announce the residential short term course on Gandhian Thought and action for university students from different parts of India. The objective of this short term course / camp is to acquaint the students with life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and its relevance in humanity’s current predicament.

Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan is instrumental in coordinating this course. This centre is established to create and offer facilities to study and research on the life, thought and methods of Gandhi, and to learn lessons that can be of value in addressing the problems humanity is confronting at present. The main objective of the centre is to identify the growing relevance of Gandhi and the need for providing opportunities for study, research and application of his thoughts and methods.

This winter camp/course for University Students will be held at Sevagram from 23-27 December 2021 (both days inclusive). The camp will provide a unique opportunity for students to understand Gandhi’s life, philosophy and methods of action in the premises of historic Sevagram Ashram which was founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936. The talks and discussions in the camp will be in English and Hindi.

We have no provision for giving Railway/ Bus fare to the participants. Their boarding/lodging here will be our responsibility. We will be grateful to you, if you can let us have the filled in applications of those whom you would like to recommend so as reaching us at the earliest. Those who are selected will be receiving intimation soon. This will help the candidates to get the railway reservation well in advance. We will be closing the admission of participants to the course in the first week of December.

A nominal registration fee of Rs. 200/ will have to be paid by the students as a token of solidarity.

The last date for sending application forms is November 30, 2021.
